It gave the Sales Team a new way to present this plan to customers, as 3D is so much more powerful than 2D in bringing a plan to life. Other Schumacher Homes models were used as a reference point for finishes and fixtures when selecting the components to show in the tour.

The Augusta virtual reality tour gives customers an immersive view of the floorplan from the convenience of a virtual reality device, mobile device or computer. Additionally, it shows the quality construction of each home using the “Construction Mode” in the upper left corner. This transparency in build quality and usability provides additional value to the customer, enabling them with information to decide what floorplan fits their lifestyle and taste. This type of visual content was specifically targeted towards Gen X and Millennial buyers, who are more comfortable with technology and more likely to own devices on which the tour performs best (specifically virtual reality).

This virtual tour of Mobile Wayfinding on TourGPN.com allowed shoppers to explore Great Park Neighborhoods after hours and independently, without stopping at a neighborhood info center. This was key to serving the 60% who do not visit a center. A self-guided opportunity to tour homes and amenities, the flexible, fluid Way Finding Tool goes beyond one neighborhood or model complex, providing an overview of the master plan, and details that relate to an individual search.

This project intended to create a product unlike anything available in the market by designing from the inside out. Joyce Homes collaborated with an interior design firm, TRIO, to oversee the entire creative process; including architecture, interiors, and marketing/branding. Due to budget constraints on creating a physical model, the interior design team created 3D renderings and animated walk-throughs, which allowed buyers to experience virtually how the project would feel before the home was constructed. Every room, including the kitchen, great room, dining room, master bedroom and bathroom, study and finished basement was included as well as every option, such as a walk-out basement, Zen garden, studio, his and hers wardrobes.

The objective of the Promenade III virtual tour was to give 55+ homebuyers a way to experience the floorplan beyond looking at it two dimensionally before the home was even built. This customized, rendered tour feels and acts like a virtual model. Homebuyers can even load the tour onto a virtual reality device via Google Cardboard and experience it in 3D virtual reality. The same amount of care that goes into constructing a model home went into constructing this digital tour, from choosing the right finishes to staging the home to appeal specifically to 55+ homebuyers.
